Hi,

I am new to boating and bought a 2000 Stamas 25 Tarpon and i am worried about some threads i read of problems with wood and delamination.

Can anyone please share their experience and thoughts?

Thank You,

The only way to tell is to check your boat carefully. A lot can happen to any boat in 11 or 12 years. At least it isn't a Bayliner (thought I would beat the bashers to the punch:redface:)

Any reason you're scared? soft spots etc?
Or are you just paranoid from seeing the resto forum?

Thank You!

I got this message for marine surveyor:

I did not find enough delamination to consider the sole is structurally unsafe, however, my recommendation on the report will be to remove all screws and rebed them with a good waterproof compound like 4200, not 5200.
