Looking for help
1992 gamefisher 5hp
Today I rebuilt the carb, changed the fuel diaphragm, fuel pump inlet filter, and the plug.
Got it to run for a few seconds but I accidentally killed it by the idle screw being too low. Now I can't get it to start back up no matter what. What do I do next?

Check for spark??? You try starting fluid?
Clean the plugs or new plugs?
These small motors can get flooded and very hard to start since there's no electric starter.
Every time you pull the cord your adding gas/oil into a cylinder that has a lot of that already in there.

Spark is good, fluid didnt help. New plugs.
I got it to run! I changed my fuel lines and it started first pull. After shutting it off about 1 minute in, I let it sit for about 5 and then its back to doing the same thing.

A low probability possibility is it ran, but might have a loose magnet from the flywheel. If one comes loose it will run while is is still moving, but it will not start again. If that is the case you will hear some scraping under the flywheel as the magnets drags on the stator end poles.
Not a high possibility, but a lot of the older engines have had rust get under the magnets and they come loose.
Mercury did go to a slightly different glue in 1996 that is not as bad as the previous years.
My experience is with the earlier 90 hp engines where that is very common.
