This topic was touched upon in another forum, and thought it would fly here.

If any of you have fished half the hours that I have I know you have some good stories to tell.

When the men are on fish,it can be hard to convence us to head for a bathroom 5 miles away.

Re: Women,fishing,and bathrm breaks

One outing that comes to mind happened last year when my partner and I took a couple fishing that had invited themselves along.
It was a cold, wet, windy day,and it didn't take long for the gal to start complaining.Problem is we got on the walleye motherload, and after catching around 90 or so she began cussing me for not having a bucket onboard for her to use.A few minutes later she ask me if I had anything in the cooler, which I ammediatly replied (yes she's full).
Her husband was having so much fun that he told her to hang it over the side.Soon she began messing around in the back corner,I tried not to pay any attention to her,so she would take care of business.
A while later her husband ask her to get him another bear out of his cooler. After he popped the top and took a swig,he asked her if she had gone over the side yet.She said (no I peed in your cooler).

I laughed so hard I cried.

I guess he got his.

My missus, mudcatmary, is a fisherman and a lady. If we are on fish, she will not be deterred. She throws it over the motor well and lets it go. But being the modest lady she is, she always looks twice before hand so that the shining moon will not be visible to others. Ya' gotta lovim'!

Re: Women,fishing,and bathrm breaks

My fishing partner for life has had many fishing adventures in the last 39 years.

The first fishing trip after we were married was for redfish in La. She refused to take a trip into the wilderness at waters edge to take care of business. Instead she had me take the boat around a bend where no one could watch. (I wasn't allowed to watch either). Almost imediately we heard a moter and knew a boat was coming. After the boat passed I asked her if she was finished and why was she taking off her wet shoe and how it got wet. I was surprised that my wife knew the same words that my Drill Instructer at Paris Island had taught me the year before.

After 39 years of marriage, two kids, and putting up with me has changed her attitude a little. Now she always has a bucket in the boat now, and she isn't nearly as bashful. Last spring we were fishing for stripers in the Roanoke River (NC) and as it was a warm sunny day, she was wearing a two piece suit. She hooked into a striper and as she was fighting the fish her top slipped. Heck, she thought getting her fish into the boat took priority, and the hell with anyone looking. :) :D

I'm lucky. I take a 5lb coffee can. That is my wife's "powder room". Took me forever to get the boat, I'll be darn if I'm going to leave the fishin' hole. Actually the coffee can was her idea as she couldn't make it "outside the boat"...

Oh yeah, I have a buddy of mine. I have to take that same coffee can because last time he whizzed all over my power trim unit!

I carry a half gallon plastic jug with convenient handle. Beats the heck out of balancing on the edge and trying to judge prevailing winds.

For my good lady and daughters its 'bucket and chucket' Although if they should do no 2's then theres always a small tin of ash to sprinkle over it. Always kill the odour. We arn't allowed to chuck that over unless way offshore.
My women wouldn't think of asking me to take them ashore to wiz anyway.
Ross

Actually I have to confess, that I help her out by making sure a bucket is in whichever boat we are using. One time I forgot, and she insisted on using the small bucket with lid that my high dollar cast net came in. I had to hurry and take the cast net out. :(

Re: Women,fishing,and bathrm breaks

Bathroom problems aren't only for women....my friend the moron had even a harder time. If you are familiar with Arizona Ice Tea drinks, then you'll know the opening at the top of the bottle is pretty good size. I've used them, and it is an easy aim in a rocking boat. Well, seeing my friend was to bashful to hang it over the side, I handed him the bottle, and said go for it. A minute later he starts freaking out....Well, you can figure out the rest I think, lets just say, I didn't mean to put it inside of the neck of the bottle.
A side note: He asks me to help him...I laugh and say, "You have two choices, break the bottle, or jump into that 65 degree water for a minute or two." (He took the water)

No Sleep is he from Wisconson? One of my friend had a buddy come down and stay a while. He asked me to put him off because he had to go real bad. Both myself and the friend thought he had to relieve more than bladder the way he was acting so we reeled in the lines and pulled up at the only place I could and let him out. He went behind the nearest tree and peed then came back saying that he was okay now. Needless to say he did not hear the end of it and was forced to use a can the next time he had to go as we were not stopping trolling as the sea trout were biting and we wanted a mess of them.

Re: Women,fishing,and bathrm breaks

I had a buddy of mine out last time fishing. I had to "relieve" myself so I get to the back of my 13' whaler and let it go!

After a while he had to go. He gets back to the same place I was and let's it go. Only problem he never made it over the side. It went all over my power tilt/trim unit :D :D :D This guy is about 6'4"!! He came over the other day and I handed him a big container that had peanuts in it. I told him when we go out this weekend, he was to relieve himself in that so he doesn't mess up my tilt/trim :D :D
