Yeah, maybe some guy can figure out how to use this a some trick pick up line, but I didn't even want to guess what he expected me to do to help. I just laughed and thought about the unfair nature of the "quick-swim," and how the smartest sperm ain't aways the fastest I guess.<br /><br />Oh well....At least I was boatin' while laughin'<br />-Gary

Bucket and chuckit in our boat. The funniest thing I ever heard was when we went fishing down in Matagorda with an old salt of a shrimper. He said to the guys, if you have to go, go over the side, now for your shortstrokers, use this. He then pulled out a clorox bottle with a hole cut in the side. :)

I keep a little sauce pan in the boat for my wife and daughter. Its been in there since my grandpa owned the boat. Just dump and rinse in the lake. We all call it the peapot. Comes in handy when the lake is to busy to hang it over the side. ;) :D

Being 2 girls in my boat all the time, we use a plastic canister, (bigger size like you put flour in) with a lid, and a Blanket with a hole cut out for your head, this way no one sees the rear side when pulling down/up the drawers. We call it a potty poncho, then when your done dump and rinse, then store the potty in the live well with the lid on.And Sanitize with bleach when you get home.

Sanitizing with bleach seems a little extreme to me. It's just... well, never mind. The blanket is a nice touch, though.

Don't know why I looked...but I just saw this thread. Anyone think it's weird that in New Zealand you can't drop 1/4 pint of pee in the ocean but have to put it in charcoal on the boat? Then what do you do with the charcoal, Ross??!! <br />And no, I'm not coming over for your next barbque...

I use kitty litter inside a drum liner that is inside a bucket with a toilet seat on top<br /><br />a little heavy, but sanitary, and Im not macho enough to do a #2 over the side of the boat<br /><br />well<br /><br />I can be, but I shouldnt be boating when Im that drunk!

Simple fix. I started this season with a 21' bow rider and quickly moved up to a 24' cabin cruiser (with a head) - problem solved! :D

These days when the wife goes out with me we take the pontoon and when the time comes we just hang the ladder over the side and in she goes. I think it funny waching other females on boats half way down the ladder like noone knows what there doing.

Re: Women,fishing,and bathrm breaks

My brother, myself, and a good (male) friend were salmon trolling on Lake Ontario in early summer 10 or so miles out. This friend had the need to go and just could not go on the boat. The boat had a porta-potty, bucket, over the side, but he physically could not go. He complained for over an hour in agony until we finally had to bring in the 6 trolling rods, 3 downriggers, and make the haul into shore. The minute he go on dry land he had no problem going.
We did have him wade in but he still couldn't go until he was on dry land. He claimed it just locked up on him.
Needless to say it was the last trip we ever invited him to go boating with us.
So although the title states women and bathroom breaks, it's not always women.

Spend a weekend in the slammer with 60 other guys and than tell me you can't hold it. I'm just saying it really makes a guy think twice about unzipping ANYTHING!

If you can't take a wizz off the side of the boat your a real piece of work.

I learned something new this year that relates to this thread. Make the kids go to the bathroom BEFORE you leave the dock. I don't have kids so it wasn't obvious for me until I had some on my boat.

Ha ha.. yeah after a week in the joint you could go no2 in front of anyone.. LOL

We have 7 kids between us. We learned to MAKE them go the the batroom before we even THINK about getting on the water..

A 5 gal bucket, small garbage can liner, and a kid disposable diaper in the bottom of the bag. Use it - seal it - and throw it away back as shore. Nothing the water or your boat. Everybody happy, what a relief.;)

My wife installed the enameled pot from an old child's potty chair, and a folded up poncho in my boat. She insists that I use the can too, so she doesn't have to quit casting to keep from rocking the boat while I hang 10 over the side.

I'm going fishing tomorrow. If I went over the side like that this time of the year it would shrink up so tight I wouldn't be able to go for a week.
