wiring question 1978 55hp Johnson

hello all,
I'm new to the forum and have done some searching on here and other websites for my issue. it appears a rodent got into this outboard and chewed the harness after the plug (back of motor) all to heck. i was able to reattach/replace all the wires so far except one. its the red wire on the back of the motor that has a 20 amp fuse on it. i believe it goes on the top of the starter soleinoid along with another red wire coming from the opposite side of the motor. can someone please give me some guidance or PM me a schematic. the model number is 55EL78S.

Yow need a manual with the proper guide for that.

Red wires on this motor-

1. fused coming from the battery goes to the harness which goes to the ignition switch.

2. That same wire goes to the one side of the solenoid before the fuse.

3. That same wire goes to the terminal block which connects red side of the rectifier.

These are the only red wires in the diagram, they all leave the battery and end up as described.
