Would anyone know the best way for me to figure out what wires go where on my new ignition switch. I had a guy that suppostly knew how and he pulled the old switch out and the wires from it and havent seen him since. Its a 1973 johnson 115 motor and im guyin the same year shifter. The switch I have is a 5 pin switch and I do belive its 7 or 8 wires. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Check the stickies for wiring schematics. I have the factory manual and can help out later tonight if no one else chimes in by then.

Also make sure you replace those round wire terminations I think they were 16-18 guage? Use plenty of that liquid electrical tape. You only want to do this job once, as getting the shift cables to stay in there on reassembly can be a pain.
