winterizing - disconnect my fuel line

When winterizing an outboard, when I want to disconnect my fuel line and let the motor run out of fuel, do I disconnect the fuel line before or after the fuel pump? (position 1 or 2 in the picture) Thanks in advanced

Its a 98 Johnson Ocean Runner 200hp 2-stroke

it is best to run seafoam in the last fuel, and not disconnect.
