I have a 4.3 liter cobra omc that i am trying to winterize. the manual says there should be two petcocks on the starboard side one for the manifold and one for the block but I am only able to find the one for the manifold. the one for the block doesn't seem to be there. the manual is accurate for the port side. any ideas?

Re: winterization

Keep looking, it's there, all Chevy 4.3 engines have a drain plug on the starboard side, it's not an OMC thing.
Here is a picture on a Mercruiser engine.

Re: winterization

There is 4 drain plugs on your motor, plus powersteering cooler. the manifolds each have one and the engine block has 2 on each side down low.

Re: winterization

The ones on the exhaust manifolds are under the edge between the spark plugs. It will be brass pipe thread plugs or petcocks.

Be sure to poke a wire in the holes once you take the plugs out.Rust can clog them up.
Unhook the hoses at the thermostat housing and engine water pump, drain and put back on.
