Sometimes that's just what is needed. Besides, what else would you be doing all winter long? Plus, the dryness of winter will keep that wood from swelling in your shop once the humidity of summer hits It will probably be the best for the boat in the long run to be able to work with the wood when it has the best chance to be dimensionally stable for the longest period of time.
Me, I'm stalled on my day off because the missus wants to dry clothes on the line...which means no grinding for me ( she's drying bath towels...can you imagine the hell I'd get if all that dust got into them? )
