Hey all, my first season of owning an 1850cc is coming to a close.

Over the winter, I have a few projects I would like to complete, including opening the rear hatch. It seems to be glued down in some way. Has anyone found a good way to get it out? I'm sure there is a bunch of gunk down there, I can see it come back into the bilge when the boat starts to sit in the water and the stern settles... Has me worried that there is something wrong in there and would like to be able to check it out. Attached is a pic of her!

How about some pictures of the hatch ?
There is no way to pull it up or anything. It seems like it's glued down in some way. I would like to not have to cut into it, but it seems like that's really the only option. From what I have read it sounds like there is some storage underneath it, I may be wrong but would like to figure it out.

Ok Regardless, it should come out without cutting the area. Did you try to pry it out slowly and carefully.it could be glued down, did you try any adhesive remover along the edges? On another note, did you take a skinny pic and prod the holes to see if there are screws down deep?

I tried prying it slowly and all it did was crack the edges, will have to try an adhesive remover this week. Will probe tomorrow, pulling the boat out tomorrow :(

No, they don't have anything in them, I've pulled up the brown cushioning and they don't go anywhere
I would look deeper in the hole. looks like someone used HDPE (fake wood) and ran deck screws in the 6 holes. because nothing really sticks to HDPE
