Windshield Question

When I removed my windshield I had to cut the bolts under the cap to remove it. I am ready to re-mount the windshield but I have found that there is no access to the bolt heads..they are blocked by the actual glass. All the frame corners are rivoted together. Do I have to drill out the rivots, remove the glass, mount the bottom of the frame and then rebuilt the windows? or is there another option that I am not thinking of?

Re: Windshield Question

should be a rubber trim strip on the frame, that can be remove, and you bolt thru there. i doubt the manufacturer assembled the windshield in place.
