Need to adjust a friends winch location however that puts the bow stop in a bad place. I think the solution is to separate the winch off the bow stop arm. Can i mount the winch on the post directly? It would be rotated from the 'normal' relative position but do not see why that would not work ok? Since not my trailer i dont want to jump in drilling holes without some real brainpower telling it is ok.
