I got a 78' johnson 75 hp. Been trying to put this motor together for a few years now. Finally got her in the water, and it ran good for three days. On day three the plastic gromet for the spark advance lever broke apart. I was able to get the motor to run by phisically moving spark advence lever, (for a little while).
I replaced gromets and spring but spark advance will not move via remote control. It does move easilly by hand. Am i missing something?
It doesn't seem like the two levers are connected, The throttle moves independently from spark advance
