I have a 1977 Johnson 70hp outboard with (i think) an original control box. after posting on here last week about a sticking control concenus of opinion was a split cable and after inspection i found a rather large split in outer casing.
So......i'm now looking for some replacement cables both gear and throttle (although not obviously damaged i thought i'd replace the throttle at the same time). Had a look round the internet and got a little confused about the type of cable i need
What is OMC? and they all seem to refer to a cable type i.e. type 23C, 33C, 43C. what the dfference?
Does anybody know of somewhere (uk based) i can find the right cable or at tell me exactly what i should be looking for.
