Where is the thermostat located?

Hi!<br /><br />I have a Evinrude 40 HK VRO from 1982.<br /><br />Anyone can tell me where the thermostat is located on that engine?<br /><br />Greatful if someone can show it in a picture.<br /><br />Thanks!

VRO came out in around 1984 or so. Do you have a model number so we can confim the year?<br /><br />Normally, the thermostat is in the top of the head underneath a cover or plate.
