Where is the Engine Serial Number Located?

Good Morning,

I have a 2003 Regal with twin Mercruisers 4.3 MPI (Bravo 3). The engines should be 2002-2003 (see pics). I have been trying to locate the serial number for a while.

Ayuh,..... There should be a little aluminum tag riveted to the block, lower aft starboard side, near the starter,......

Bondo, Thanks! Thats what Mercruiser told me but I could not find it. Space is limited down there. I will try to find it again today. Is it under, aft, on top or behind the starter?

Ayuh,.... Use yer cell phone or a camera,.....

Many times it's on the blocks flange 'bout where the outer starter bolt screws into,...

Sometimes on the side of top cover were it says 4.3 MPI there is a sticker with the three serial numbers on it but it's always best to double check with the plate mounted just above the engine starter to know for sure what engine you truly have in case it may have been replaced at one time.
