Where else can I find my serial # without a transom mount tag?

Basically the title is my whole question.

I have a '99 Merc 250 EFI, the transom mount little tag is missing and I need the serial # for some parts I need. I thought maybe the freeze plugs but that # looks like it's a bunch of zero's all in a row, assuming that's not the serial #.

Maybe on the heads somewhere? It''s the original powerhead so it must be on there somewhere.

The post a few down from mine answered my question. Took a closer look a the freeze (welch) plug, with actual light and got the number.
