Where do these connections go?

Good morning all, I just finished rebuilding a 2.3 OMC cobra out of a '89 bayliner. After 6 weeks I'm ready to get back in the water but I have 2 connections that I am not sure of.

1- Is right besides the carb on the intake

2- Is under the intake on the block

3- Is the last hose that I have with the PVC valve

I am thinking that the hose goes under the intake on the block and that I am missing the hose that goes on the PVC that connects the pvc to the connection besides the carb.

I am quite anxious to get this baby in the water and with a new motor I want to make sure that I connect everything back to where it belongs. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Re: Where do these connections go?

It sure looks like it. I must have misplaced that one piece of hose # 62.

Have you seen this system before part # 61 and 55? I have that setup and before i blew the motor it used to leak oil from #61 on to the intake so I drilled # 22 and with an elbow and a longer hose I sent the fume down the carb throat. It did not seem to be a very good setup but I also had a leak in the intake or the carb so maybe it did not have enough suction to pull the fumes out or there or there was just to much oil comming from the valve cover.

The engine previously had a blown head gasket, a cracked head and a hole in one of the pistons big enough to put two pens side by side in it. I put the system back to the original configuration as on the schematics and i'll see what it does once I start it next week.

Thanks for the quick response and may your crab traps be always full
