Re: Where can I get a used Trigger for 69 125 HP
Find a parts motor on your local
www.craigslist.org or try
www.ebaymotors.com
Note that there are other motors that use the same trigger module so you may be able to swap the donor's trigger into your distributor assy.
Here's a 65hp distributor on ebay that probably has the same trigger assy as yours (but of course it'll have a 4-cyl 'chopper' disc instead of 6-cyl):

If you want to do a little research to see what part numbers interchange, here's a few sites with parts diagrams:
www.boats.net
www.crowleymarine.com
www.mercruiserparts.com
One other thing that comes to mind is that Mercruiser may have used the same ign trigger in some of their I/O's. Here's one on eBay that looks similar, you might compare it to yours:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160475106651
Your motor's trigger part # is 393-2918A3 while the one in this auction is 393-2918A6.
Typically when Merc upgrades a part like this they keep the same # but change the number after the "A". Should be interchangeable but I'd compare yours carefully with the ebay pic to make sure there's nothing different about the mounting, etc. The diff between the A3 and A6 trigger might be so slight that it'll work in yours anyway.
Since the last price on this obsolete part was over $281, the eBay part at $149 or best offer is cheap. If you find this should work for you, I'd make 'em an offer since they've been listed for quite some time, and they have 8 of them.
