Purchased 1991 20' Centra / Sea-Pro WA Fisherman last summer and dug right in. Fixed trailer, replaced bilge blower, built 'new' 4.3l V6, and started on interior work before winter set in. Then the kicker - during spring clean-up and what I thought was the final steps before I could test her out found water in transom and soft wood. Obviously I should have dug deeper - lesson learned. What have you guys used as a gage for repairing / replacing a transom and determining when to move on to another boat or fix the one you have. Basically, when do I cut and run vs. rolling up the sleeves and get to work. Any input from the guys that have been around would be great.
