When did they stop using the 470 mercruiser engine?

I see they started in 1976 and have seen posts with people with 1989 year boats with it. What year did they stop using the 470 or are they still using it in some form or another in boats?

89 was the last year the 3.7 was manufactured. You still might see them in some 1990 boats.
