Johnson Seahorse 10 HP QD-19 1958.
First I found what I thought was the fuel ratio as 24-1, even if not correct I figure i should be able to start and run. I have a pressured tank in the 6 gal. The motor started and ran ok at idle but not much in the way of power. I looked at the plugs and they where both wet. I thought, ok the float may be stuck from sitting for years. I rebuilt the carb, new float cleaned ports and jets adjusted the slow speed to 3/4 turn out high speed 1 1/2 out. Now it starts and runs the same, wet plugs.
The old plugs are AC M44C The new plugs are NGK J6C either plug not much change.
Question:
Could the condensers be week or leaking voltage to ground some where or do they just quit?
Or do you have another thought that I may go on?
