What's up honda

I recently bought a 1997 Honda bf15a Outboard . motor runs great no complaints. But the lower end gears are chewed up . Honda no longer manufactures parts no one has them so why would I ever want to buy another Honda if I can't repair it when it breaks. Any help with this problem would be appreciated

Name one company that still makes all replacement parts for products 25+ years old. If you're only going to buy a motor from a company that makes parts that long, then you won't be buying a new motor.
