Awww, Valentine's Day ... so what are the plans for this evening?

Are YOU cooking tonight? If so, what?

Take Out?

Dinner? Fancy?

Movie or show afterwards?

Re: What's for supper?

Oh yeah. Normally I take my wife out on Valentines for a nice dinner...however this year she said lets stay in.
So I am going to make a pasta dish with Caesar salad and perhaps pick up something for dessert like Creme Brulee' (which she loves).
I'll go out later this afternoon and pick a very big bouquet of roses & other assorted flowers and I picked up her up a small gift while away on business this week.
When we have gone out for dinner I always make reservations weeks in advance having suffered through the ordeal of trying to find something in the last couple of days or even on the last day....yikes!! Usually this brings torrents of laughter from the restaurant when you call...on Valentines Day morning!! Ahhh.
All Good, a great day!!

She has relatives coming in for the day. We are taking them to an Itaian joint in town that has by far the best pizza I've ever had.
I can hardly wait! :p

Hmmmm.

Sent the LOML a dozen red roses and a romantic note. Probably make an excursion to the post office sometime today.

Finally making the bison stew I planned for last weekend. That will be dinner tonight. House smells wonderful!

Will probably get out the DVDs and watch a few episodes of "As Time Goes By" tonight. Always makes me feel good about being old and romantic. :)

Re: What's for supper?

She says she's cooking me some pork roast, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. I'll make some biscuits or cornbread if she wants some. I clean up the kitchen and do all the dishes when she cooks but she'll probably let me slide on that tonight.

Unfortunately my better half has work for most of the day and then class. She took me to lunch today for my birthday, so I think I will take her out this weekend to make up for today.

Now Try and guess my age........jk

Re: What's for supper?

Went out to east last night at Bonefish grill... FTD failed to deliver the flower boquet

They said they were unable to find a flourist in the area to deliver it... there's only 47 of them that deliver there... but I guess it was too hard for them to find one of those 47.

One thing's for sure, I'll never try to use FTD again. My wife said it's the thought that counts, but I know that's a load of crap, so now I'll have to find a way to make it up to her.

Re: What's for supper?

Well, no special dinner for the special day,,,,,but,,,,,,,while the wife was working yesterday, the local barbershop quartet showed up at the ER at the hospital and sang several songs to the nurses and PCA's. Then after they were done, they handed a bouquet of roses to my wife. All the other womens mouths dropped open when they found out who they were there for. The Mrs said it was one of the greatest feelings that she had ever felt. I just hope she remembers that the next time I walk in with mud/snow and sawdust all over me :D
