Re: What year is this Starcraft and what's it worth?

I've had these other images that the seller emailed me...

Looks like one knee on the transom, random PVC pipe(maybe a net holder) vertically mounted on the starboard side. It's in the kinda shape that I'm looking for basically since I want to start from scratch and get to know the old hull up close and personal:)

The trailer seems to have some small tires I'll need to check that out, the splashwell is of generous proportions, needs a swim ladder(maybe like EZ's;))

and the other pics again...

Yeah I'm just north of Lansing so you're only a few exits away down 96. Do you have an extra 70hp Johnson you're not using?:D

Just kidding...I may be getting the hull in a couple weeks, if you want to check it out once I do I will update the thread after I pick it up. Do you ever get up this way to fish...if ya do let me know I know a few great spots to catch some fish within 20 minutes or so of Lansing.

Well I've communicated with the seller thru email and the boat is still available. He is not holding it for me and I've put down no deposit yet. I did confirm that the boat will fit in my one-car garage easily:D:D

I will wait until I get back from my vacation to drive the one hour to see the rig with bennies in pockets(Rick's plan) and hopefully tow the rig back home where she belongs.

Ozz I know that Saginaw bay is a serious hotspot for walleye and I am actually going to be gunning for a promotion at work in the next year or so that would put me in Midland/Saginaw area(so I may need to access your GPS waypoints to get a headstart LOL:Djust kidding).

I just love Lake Huron as my name suggests and the farther north the better if you ask me.:D I graduated from MSU so I've had enough of the entire Lansing area at this point.

Re: What year is this Starcraft and what's it worth?

So this is the $1400 package that I was looking at...emphasis on was.

It turns out that the Starcraft I was looking at really isn't a Starcraft...it's a Lonestar:eek: So that does change how I feel about the boat although it is similar. Biggest difference is the middle windshield doesn't swing open it folds down and slides under the bow cap.

I still like the Merc and asked if he'd sell it separate. How much is it worth if it is in good running condition...maybe $4-600?

Ideally, I'd like to get the 15' Holiday rated for a 70hp...and throw the 65 Merc on the transom:D Maybe $1000 total for that package? 500 for the boat and 500 for the Merc?

He will think about it he says. Thought an update was in order and I didn't want to muck up Rick's resto thread any more than I already have...sorry for that Rick.

This SS just got bumped up the list of SC's I want to buy as well. I will probably want an open bow so I should just be looking at Supersports:D

Maybe this one will go for $900 after letting it sit with no offers for a week or two?

I think $900 would be a fair offer on the SS. Tell him you have cash and you'll pick it up tonight. Sometimes that helps.

Re: What year is this Starcraft and what's it worth?

Got an email today from the guy selling the 16' Lonestar(posted as Starcraft on CL) and he says that the 1969/70 60hp Merc by itself is $900. A marina that I consider to be good checked it over and said that for it's age it is in very good running condition.

But I've realized that my best deal will be for a boat, trailer, outboard, and hopefully some random gear all together.
