Re: What would Algore say?

When they make it easier to dispose of these things they foist upon us, I will be more conscious of their disposal. Another case in point, for many years I save all my old dead batteries in a old Tide box. When the box got full, I presented it to my neighborhood recylce pick up driver. He said they do not take those so I just opened the lid of the trash can, sitting nearby, and dumped them in.

They force us to pay for recylce whether we want it or not and then will not take these common items that they say are bad to dump. S***w 'em, I say!
Some stuff needs special consideration....
In Seattle we have a hazardous household waste station, which is free, ya just have to take it there.......
The extra effort is worth it, imo.....
Would ya expect them to take your used oil or do a Brooklyn oil change instead?......

They do take my motor oil. All I have to do is to put it out, in clear or transluscent capped gallon containers and they whisk it away. Maybe Seattlites are not as progressive as they think they are.:p
