What will you kill?

I always ask animal rights activists, or vegetarians that are that way because they don't like killing living things, if they own bug spray. If they answer that they do, I simply say, "well, we both have our line, I just draw mine a little higher". Where do you draw your killing line?<br /><br />Choose as many as apply to you.

This may be totally stupid, and of course there are some things missing like: I will kill any kinda fish, just because it's a fish. There also isn't the question of killing humans with the exception of killing me, which may or may not indicate how you feel about other humans . . .<br /><br />I've been thinking about this for a while and was prompted when ridiculed by txs for posting that I would kill baby seals for pate' and then he promptly turns around and says he's going fishing

I don't really support "trophy" hunting (exotic animals (elephants, lions, etc.); although I do enjoy fishing (bream, catfish, bass (if they happen to eat my live bait), crappie, etc.) and squirrel hunting. I'd also take a buck or doe or rabbit without hesitation (in season).<br /><br />I might save the horns of the buck and mount them on a piece of wood, but wouldn't personally spend the money for a full head-trophy.<br /><br />I have no problem using worms, crickets and minnows for bait, but I won't use a lizard or frog. I don't know why, but I don't.

I really dont kill all that I listed, I dont kill pest birds, seldom a coon or a possom or snake unless they are after my chickens, I will kill all the rattlers I see. Wolves we dont have Rarely a cougar, I never killed one, I hunt dove and maby once ever 2-3 years quail. I kill Deer seldom anymore,same with turkey. But im he!! on stinging scorpions and fire ants

I won't touch the Coyotes here, but I have left them a waskilly wabbit or two as we are being over run with cottontails.<br /><br />Weird related story. Our first lab, an awesome black one that we got at the pound, died from eating rodent poison put out by the city to control squirells and bunnies We called the city because the way the contractor set out the poison a kid could've got to the stuff too. Well now it is city policy not to use any poison. Sooooo, we have a huge squirrel and bunny issue . . .

Cyotes are in trouble if I get a chance they die. we were once the sheep capitol of the US, now thiers not 500 head in the whole county, they have decimated our whitetail population in my area where they co unchecked. I guess my # 1 nuicance is feral hogs, a new fence wont last 2 years without patching the hog holes and they play the ****ens with our crops.

I like to eat fish,the others have done me no wrong and I am not hungry.For me there is no pleasure in killing.There is much more pleasure in seeing things live.It drives my wife nuts when she sees the deer eat our tulips.I enjoy seeing the deer and I get a kick out of the deer prefering the red over the yellow colored tulips.I do not understand it,they are supposed to be color blind.

I will kill if attacked, hungry or by accident(deer, squirrel etc. runs across and hit with vehicle) and not dwell on it. I like to fish but do not keep most. Does that inflict pain? Always eat what you keep. <br /> Insects are fair game(unless not bothering me such as spiders in the summer, kill in the winter as will not put outside at -20 degrees, or other non threatening bugs. <br /> Will not hunt ducks(taste like liver) but goose are fair game(mmmmm). I have passed up shots on wolves when others would kill. Were they bothering me? Oh, they kill deer. So do people. <br />Cyotes? If in my yard and go after my dog, they would be dead. <br /> I guess what I am trying to say is I will kill with no malice. It is life. And I am a liberal on alot of things but try to use common sense and not a blind allegiance to a particular ideology. Everything in its place.

There are some people that have claimed they would let a wild animal eat them if that is what the animal wanted to do, but I am also assuming that we can simply leave them out of our little study . . .

All the above except for the Exotics and QC. Anything messin' with me is Bassy dust! That's where I stand. Oh, ain't I a tough one! I've never shot any living thing in my life, but that doesn't mean I won't. Just call me blessed and protected. I am prepared and well practiced in shooting. Mr. Bassy made sure of that.
