What the Heck!! NO SPARK...(with Black-Yellow

Now here's a good one..I''ve got Evinrude 50hp (VJ50TLETF) with No Black/Yellow wire connected , she'll run great , have to stop via choke switch , which is normal...

With Black/Yellow wire connected , it won't start (no spark). Now I would think..Black/Yellow wire is grounded....but its not... it goes open circuit when switch is in start position.
It goes back to Ground when in the Stop position....

This one has me stumped...any ideas?

Kinda sounds like the circut is working properly, what does it do with the key in the run position?

From the start motor was working great. Then would not start....We thought the black and yellow wire was grounding out the motor. (This would keep the motor from starting.
After cutting the wire the motor would start right up.....but when the key was turned off the motor would keep running. We went back and checked the cut black and yellow wire with ohm meter.
Everything was Ok grounding out when the switch was off and open when the key was turned on. We checked the spark by tryng to start the motor and found out when the black and yellow wire was cut we would have spark...when it was not cut we had no spark.
We checked what we thought would be a problem from under the consel, and with the switch both on and off everything was showing just as it should. Note at one time when the switch was off we were showing ground like it should....but when the switch was on we showed some ground (and this should not be).
Guess where were at is where do we go from here ? wondering if a module might be bad?

If you show some grounding with the key in the ON position I would suspect the ign switch it self.
Disconnect the ground wire at the switch and see if you loose the ground when in the on position.
