What tach for 88 225 excel

Just bought a 1988 225 excel it came with a 704 control but no tach which tach will work? Thanks

get the yamaha digital, the latest will require an adapter.
this will give you RPM,trim angle and visual alarms for your oil system. other than that any 12 pole outboard tach will give RPM.
