HELLO THERE, I JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHAT SIZE OF TRANSOM MY 1985 14.07FT BAYLINER HAS, AND WOULD A SHORT SHAFT WORK WITH THIS TRANSOM TOO, PLEASE LET ME KNOIW

Moving to Boats.<br /><br />BigBux. Please do not use all capitals. It is considered shouting on the internet.<br /><br />Measure the vertical distance from the top of the transom to the keel level. Fifteen inches is a short shaft, twenty is a long shaft. I suspect you need a long shaft engine.<br /><br />Good luck.

measure from the center of the transom to the center of the bottom of the boat- just below the drain plug. that will tell you what transom you have.
