I have a Mercury motor with a 60 hp metal wrap around cawling, boat it was on is a 1986, they say its the original motor, electric start, trim, remote steer, problem is its a 4 cylinder not a 3, has dual carbs ser# is 6559120, I know some people swapped cawls back in the day, the ser# fits a 84 60 hp but that motor is suppose to be a 3 cylinder, can somebody please help me identify what I have thanks

Welcome to iboats

I don't ever remember there being a 4 Cylinder 60hp.
My Service Reference Manuals, Parts Books, and even Mercury Brochures show none.
Post some pictures. with and without the Cowl
How long ago did you acquire this motor?
I suspect you have a bunch of Parts Cobbled together

Serial number 06559120 suggests the engine is a 1984 MERCURY 75 (ELPT) (4 CYL.) Model Number 1075624...,https://www.mercruiserparts.com/75-4-cyl--6432901-up

Fun TImes is correct.
Brown Decal is 84/85, and the the only 4 Cylinder that used that Transom Bracket in those years was the 75hp

Oil is mixed at 50:1
Gear Ratio is 2.3:1
WOT rpm range is 5000-5500
