I have seen someone here say seloc didnt have a very good picture and description of things any suggestions on what I should buy. I have a 4.3 liter Merc. w/Alpha one drive in a 183ss Chapparal that I purchased this summer.
You need to post what year.....
A Merc. manual is best ....
Don't waste your money on Seloc or Clymers.....
Go to Manual #18 on Bondo's link......
Run the corsor over the lettered sections on the last page & clickto download the section that you want to view.....
I wish I would have seen this before I just bought the seloc manual...lol it seems to still have useful information, but i still cannot tell me how to get the freakin nut in for the motor mount, lol.
that is a possability, lol....I wasn't being sacrcastic....I am just learning how to do all this....I really dont want to pull my motor for one nut...but it looks....
You wont have to pull it all the way out, just enough to get the nut on....
You will have to pull the drive, but you may only need to lift the engine very little......
As little as in not having to disconnect anything but the front & rear mounts themselves.....
