What outdrive?

I have a 83 Dixie super skier with a 260HP chevy 350 V-8. How do i figure out what out ddrive i have? Drive serial number is 6232093. The previous owner told me it was a alpha 1 but all the other alpha 1's i have seen have a alpha 1 sticker on them.

With that serial number, it's an R drive, 1983, with a 1.32 Gear ratio.

How do you distinguish between the R MR and alpha 1?
