What mercruiser outdrive is this?

Looking to see what outdrive this is and approximate year model. I can't read the serial numbers on anything, if it helps; it's one of two mated to 454's on a 40' boat. Boat is a 72' year model. There are no water pick ups on the lower units also

Ayuh,.... My guess is, they might be TR, or TRS drives,....

It's a Mercruiser III drive. '72 was the last year they were made.

Ayuh,.... Too much motor, 'n Too much boat,...

'n no water pickups,...

I'll defer to Chris, as I'm guessin' on the TR/ TRS....
I know they're for big motors, in big boats,...
