What length steering cable for 1996 Hydrasport 2000 CC

Does any one know what length of steering cable my 1996 HydraSport 2000 center console requires. I want to buy a Teleflex No-feed-back 4.2 system but not sure on length, Any help would be appreciated.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... The length of Yer cable should be printed on the casin', within a couple of feet of 1 end or the other...

If you can't find that, in straight lines, measure from the center of the console to the gunnel(side) of the boat, from there to the edge of the transom(back of the boat), from there to the center of the transom, add all those up and that is how long of a cable you need, round up if you are between feet, always better to be too long than too short.

the problem is when i bought this hull it was stipped out, no cables at all not even steering wheel. So i am starting from scratch

in general rule of thumb, how many feet do i add to my measurement, i have heard of your way but forgot the add-on of feet

Ayuh,... The Tele-flex website is quite clear on how to measure, 'n how much to add...

You are really going to have to measure carefully since you have a center console boat.

All those extra bends use a lot of cable.

Mine comes out of the steering box to the right, then forward and down to the floor, then rearward, then it loops starboard/up/and aft doing a 180 and entering the splashwell, before it goes aft another 18".

On my 18'er, the helm is 10' from the transom, and I'm using a 21' steering cable.
