you would think the state would have some kind of money to fix it. I know arkansas is nothing but farmers, but still, they should get some kind of federal money for interstates.
I would have to say AR has the worst infastructure of any state i have driven thru. The whole state looks like a ghost town, that has not been touched in 30 years.

Riiiiiiiight, nothing but farmers, unless you count Wal-Mart, Dillard's, Alltel (now Verizon), Tyson, JB Hunt, Stephens, Inc. (largest off Wall Street brokerage firm in the country), Ranger boats, Waco boats (Aloha pontoons), War Eagle boats, SeaArk boats, Xpress boats, Buffalo NATIONAL River, three world class trout streams, one of which produced a brown trout that stood as the world record for over two decades, presidential library, and sundry other non-agricultural goodies. I would mention Riceland Foods, the largest rice mill on earth, but that's ancillary to agriculture so I won't count it.

Now, your assertion that Arkansas has the worst infrastructure of any state you've driven through and looks like a ghost town that hasn't been touched in thirty years leads me to two conclusions: first, you haven't driven through much of Arkansas, and second, there are many states in the union that have been deprived the pleasure of your company. Finally, I'll step down from my soapbox long enough to advise you that there isn't one rational Arkie who doesn't share your frustration and incredulity with regard to the condition of the interstates. However, work is ongoing and improvements have been and continue to be made. It will take a while because they've been in bad shape for a long time, but they are getting better. Now, if you'll excuse me I must get to bed. It's getting late and I'm meeting a buddy in the morning who came from California so I could take him trout fishing in the morning. Oh yeah, one more thing. We do have a bunch of farmers. And some hillbillies

Recently I was behind a fancy new fullsize GM suv.It had 20 or 22 wheels(looked factory) and low maybe4"sidewalls on it. turning left I sped up to beat the line of oncomming cars as the suv hit a bad pothole I was well aware of.the woman driver stopped after turning into the parkinglot and as I passed I saw her screaming at me through her closed window.I was in a hurry so I proceded to the bank.when I was done I saw the woman on the phone standing looking at the back of her suv.I drove over and she accused me of hitting her vehicle!!I told her I was close but never got 10' from her and "wheres the damage?" there was none.she was furious and then blamed my tailgateing for her hitting the pothole.I informed her that she should watch the road and not worry about whats behind her as anyone is at fault if they hit you from behind.I asked "what was wrong" w the big 4wd suv and she said something was grinding and shaking after she drove around the prknlot while I was in the bank.She was on the phone w her son(his suv) and said he was mad and rushing over to "talk" to ME!I told her Id love to stay but I had to get back to work.I gave her my phone #.and told her to tell him to put some real wheels and tires on his truck!!He never called.
