Hello Again,
I just picked up my new boat project. Please help me Identify what the boat is? The title says it is a 1962 Durateck. It is 15' 6" from bow to transom. The width at the helm is 62". The width at the transom is 59". There are aluminum handles at the back of the boat on either side. Here are some pictures of the boat that may help. The title has a hull number of 43173, I am not able to verify that number on the boat as of yet. Please help me I.D. my boat.
Thanks in advance for your help.:

Thanks, JoeMan
I was wondering, had thought it might be after seeing your video and pictures. Now, I am trying to decide whether to sandblast or use the stripper to remove all the paint. I have a friend that has a large tank sandblaster that I can use, just not sure which is better? Any Ideas would be a big help.
Thanks in advance for yor help.

Check out this thread from our Duratech section here:

I would not recommend dry sandblasting due to the possibility of causing waves in the aluminum from heat. Call around to ask about the masonry took I describe in that thread above. It should be fitted (you may need to buy a couple brass fittings from Ace) to the power washer, and should also suck up sand from a 5 gallon bucket. This worked great. I used a combination of Aircraft Engine Stripper and this blasting technique. Full story there.
