Caught an eel in the bay as a kid. What a fight that was. I was probably as surprised as the eel.

I caught an old dead doe one day. Hooked it in the backside while bottom fishing - 120 lb deer on 15 lb test -thought I really had something for a while. Lots of fishing rods, lawn furniture, etc.

an Eelpout...we call them lawyers here in WI. Very slimy, wirey, bottom dwellers that croak when ya grab them. <br />Caught one only, while spring walleye fishing the Wolf river in Winneconne, WI. <br />Weird fish. Have herd they are tasty though.

I didn't want to say anything about the seagull either. It was not an easy catch either. Even more difficult taking the hook out of him.<br />I felt really really bad. <br />Oh, and I caught my grandad in the cheek....ooops.

My grandma caught an alligator one day while we were fishing in Louisianna. She was casting a plug of some sort but we cut the line pretty quick. Only time I've ever heard of that happening.

I've been caught once,by my youngest son,I have a scar on my ear to remind him of what happens when you don't watch what your doing.<br />The most memorable thing I caught was a big oll snapping turtle,wasn't a good idea to pull him into the little 10 foot john boat I was in.Boy was he mad!

60 feet of water 5 miles off the Jersey coast and I pull up a TREE!! Not a branch but a whole tree darn thing was about 6' long roots and all.<br /><br />Thought I had a monster fluke or a ray.

Had this happen twice out of Pt. Hueneme,CA. Out fishing for salmon and darn if those sea lions don't grab that line. Had to cut them loose. But boy can they take the line!
