What evinrude gearboxes fit on 55hp

Will an evinrude 125hp gearbox with selectric or hydroelectric gear selector fit on a 55hp? What boxes could I fit to it..cheers

No, a 125 unit will NOT fit a 55.
Without a model number, we can't really tell you what WILL fit...

It's a 1969 55hp evinrude with 3 cylinders as triple carbies..It doesn't have the tags on it to prove it is a 1969 but it can only be 69-68..I've been told there are gearboxes that will fit it apart from the original..70hp apparently fits it.can any1 help me out please
