99 Chris Craft 200 Bowrider. 5.0GL SX outdrive. With the exception of taking it to a weigh station which are almost not existent around here, is there a website?

If you are looking for a scale, find a feed mill, scrap yard, truck stop, or moving company.

Don't forget to add the weight of the trailer, fuel, and gear to the NADA hull weight.

Call it 5000 lbs on the trailer and you've got it covered.

I don't know where I copied this from so I can't give credit to the author.
You can weigh the boat with a regular household scale using simple math and physics.

1. First put the scale under the tongue with the boat pulled all the way up on the trailer. For me the scale read 150lbs so W1=150

2. scoot the boat back on the trailer EXACTLY 10" so 10=X

3. reweight the tongue. For me it was 100lbs so W2=100

4. measure the distance in inches from the axle to the tip of the tongue. For me it was 180". so 180=C

5. Plug all 4 of your numbers into the equation. C(W1-W2)/X

Mine looked like this... 180(150-100)/10

6. do the equation
a. first you subtract 100 from 150 which = 50
b. then you multiply 50 by 180 which= 9000
c. finally you divide 9000 by 10 which = 900

So my boat weighs 900 lbs. It will only take you about 5-10 minutes to do.
That's for boat weight only but I guess you could weigh your whole rig by using the same method and using a couple of car stands to assimilate moving the axle to a different position.
All bets are off if your tandem springs don't have an equalizer setup and how you would figure out the balance point with an equalizer I'll leave for someone else to nut out.
Maybe you could put a strong bar across the trailer frame and measure it in 2 different locations.

What does my boat weigh?

Fed,

That won't work for a tandem trailer.

I think it would work if the tandem springs had an equalizer between them Mark because for this purpose it would make it like a single axle.
Slipper springs, definitely would no work.
Again, a bar and/or a couple of car stands would assimilate a single axle.

Re: What does my boat weigh?

the problem would be moving a 2700+ pound boat 10" back on the trailer in the driveway. I'll take the estimate of around 5000lbs and call it even! Thanks for the math though! Pretty neat formula!

According to NADA, my 1988 Chris Craft 205BR is 3000 Lbs, for what its worth! Though I really want to know my own boat's real weight too! Maybe I'll try that above formula! Though same problem with moving boat on bunk trailer! I am wondering if its foam is waterlogged.

Go to your local landfill and wheigh your vehicle at the scales tell them what your up to most dont really care as long as you tell them your intentions. Go launch your boat and head back to landfill and subtract the difference.
