LS = lounge seating (sleeper seats front, rear single seats either side of engine cover)
SS= sport seating (buckets front, rear bench- full sunpad over engine)

Right on the money. We have an 2050SS. There is another Bayliner on our lake that is a 2050LS. We have a sun deck with a bench seat that has ski storage under it. The 2050LS has an engine cover with seats next to it. The exterior looks the same.

In high school, my buddy built a Camaro out of 2 wrecks...
He put the LS badges on the left side, and the RS badges on the right side.
Made sense to him....

In reality the different trim levels on cars denote trim & option groups. I'm sure boat aren't that far different.
Example current Honda cars. VE= value edition, extra stripped down, DX= base, LX= middle, EX = best,EX-L = best with leather, Si = Performance version. The Civics get power windows & A/T starting with the LX, the EX gets same plus sunroof, adjustable delay wipers, better radio. There are options available within the groups too. It's marketing.

Yep LS and SS. Sport Seating and lounge seating in general. On Chevy's LS denotes the base model while LT is generally more optioned. There must be 500:1 LS to LT.
