LS = Luxury Sport. This is the traditional meaning of the designation from a time when auto makers intended them to mean something.

GT (Yes, seen this on boats, too) = Grand Touring. Silly, isn't it?

GS = Grand Sport

LE = Limited Edition (Yeah, 250,000 units and they say "LE")

SS = Super Sport

Most often, it means "marketing".

I know with cars for instance, the difference between a base model and a LS is usually nothing more than a fancy pin stripe and a couple emblems. I'm sure there's not much to it for boats either.
I'm going to guess and say the 2050LS may have a little softer interior and a fancy decal.

OK, I'll shutup. I won't say that LS could also be Lame Stripe or most likely Less Stuff.

The cars that I have owned it has been Less Stuff. Less gauges, less trim, etc.

But I didn't say anything.

SS= sport seating (buckets front, rear bench- full sunpad over engine)
