i am in florida, i can pretty much do it all, all year round, except for swimming, which is actually nice to do in the springs when the water is 30 degrees warmer than the air.springs are ALWAYS 72 degrees, no matter what!!! so when its 30 degrees out, its really nice to take a dip!<br /><br />but really, what in tarnation does a person do with ones self when its inches or feet of snow and the high is 17 degrees? is this why there are soo many DC posts and not that many motor and boat posts?<br /><br />be serious , as i have lived in southern florida( tampa area) all my life and have only seen snow once, for about 4 hours!

Well I don'tknow about anyone else but I fish,hunt and work on the INTERIOR honey-do list.<br /><br />Of course there is all the blowing,shoveling and de-icing of driveway,sidewalk,steps and deck.<br /><br />Then there is the casino trip once a month.<br /><br />>>>>>>>HAPPY HOLIDAYS<<<<<<<

Catch up on "Honey Do's", Catch up on odd jobs and upgrades at the shop. Work on the house. Spend more time with herself. Wish a lot for spring and boating weather. Do more than my fair share of cooking. Make sure the frig is stocked with Bud Longnecks.......they seem to go faster in the winter time.....

tye flies; go smelt fishing a couple of times; take a couple of trips south and then get the boat ready for the spring and summer fishing!!! And one other thing is I still pound nails inbetween!!! <br /><br /><br />Happy Holidays!!!

Work as always. Hunt, fish, like Fly Rod I'm good for a couple of smelt trips each year (Higgins Lake, 2 years ago the ice was 3-1/2 feet thick. Way cool lookin down thru that tunnel with a submerged light below. Smelt by the hundreds!) Complete kitchen remodel last year, made the cabs myself . You would have to experience snowshoeing thru the woods in 8" of fresh snow when it's 20 below to believe the peacefull atmoshere! Music, Music, and more Music. Lotsa stuff to be made in the shop, and OBJ has that bud longneck thing down to a "T"! . Actually PMM you don't know what your missin! c'mon up! You'll love it.

Well, me I don't hunt or fish, so I try to catch up on all of the household stuff. The interior honey do's, and anything that is in need of repair. Usually end up shoveling and snowblowing, but none this year yet. I like to take my son skating and sliding. We also tend to watch a lot more movies over the winter. Drink some extra wine and long necks, too! I also try to get out waterskiing, barefooting specifically, once a month. The Mississippi doesn't freeze due to the current flow near downtown St Paul.Myself and some other crazy guys have been doing this for quite a fewe years now. I guess it's our way of beating ol man winter.

Outdoors sports!!!<br /><br />Down to about -10 or so ambient.<br />I will go<br />snowmobiling,<br />skiing,<br />snowshoeing,<br />ice fishing.<br /><br />I work outside on aircraft. We work until the wind chill gets down to -49 F. At -50 F we shutdown.<br /><br />You get used to it, and learn to dress for the weather.<br /><br />AK Chappy

Anyone who has never taken his dog through the woods on a quiet snowy day has never lived. And where I live I can boat in the morning, although a tad cold, and go sledding/skiing/playing in the mountans that afternoon. What I don't under stand is how you put up with that humidity? I love Florida, but can't stand heat/humidity. Room for us all I guess.

drag logs out of the river wth the boat when there are big storms and high tides, fish wherever there are fish and a legal season, kayak a little, work in the shop, surf the internet and argue with guys on iboats, work work and work. Also been building a kayak this year, and have worked some on my website this month ... http://www.redalderranch.com <br /><br />I love the cool rainy pacific northwest weather. Couldn't deal with CA, I'm way sure I wouldn't last 10 minutes in FL .

Oh boy this a a poofable one if JB takes it the wrong way as he does so many other times<br /><br />I go out pickup my paper grab the coffee and go sit in my boat..After that I may sharpen my lures or play with my Jewels(reffering to my 12to 16 inch musky lures)of course..Oh its going to be a long winter..I have the symptons now, looking out the window just wishing ta H### spring would come..

Drive 60+ miles,one way,to work in Anchorage in the dark. Dodge the moose as they cross the road in front of you. Blow snow,chip ice,blow snow,chip ice,ect.ect.ect. Whine to my wife. Work on the boat. Wait with baited breathe for the rivers to open. Sit here and read some of the most wierdest stuff to ever be put to print. In other words enjoy life.
