i skied behind my 1750 bayliner i/o sunday night for the first time. that was also the first time skiing in about 10 years or more.

i can say one thing, my 1750 has a much better wake for boarding than skiing. im looking for a tower now so that i can start wakeboarding again. the wake is quite large, esp with a few people in the boat and a full tank of gas.

Try speeding it up. Not sure about a 1750, but my 195 wake used to clean up around 34MPH

this one only runs about 36 wide open. i didnt mind the big wake as im used to it, but my buddy slaloming didnt have as much fun as he could have id bet.

thats ok though, its my boat and my gas LOL he didnt want to go wide open while slaloming on sunday or i would have ran him faster. he ended up about 26 or so...

Out of curiosity, what engine does your 1750 have and what rpm at 36 mph? I was assuming a 3.0l sterndrive, which should run high 40's at around 4700 rpm

mine is a 2.3L ford instead of the 3L. i run 36-37 depending on the load at about 4700 rpms or so give or take. Ive only had it going that fast a couple of times as i just bought it on the 9th.

No Title

A 1973 Hydrodyne 18. Has the 888 mercruiser ford. I'm not that good at skiing but it works good. It has a fin on the bottom and almost no v at all. Plus the engine cowl looks awesome.
