What are these two items on the back of my transom?

On a 1977 Sea Ray 240 Sundancer.

the one to the port looks like a light, th eotehr perhaps the same or a bracket for something. Anything going on inside the transom?

look like really old night time lights to me. weird cover on the port side one though.

I pulled them off and had what looked like a single cable come of them, that went thru the transom. The one on the right side might have been a light. The one on the left is a metal strip, I think.

I "think" those are part of the mercathode.

they are definitely the mercathode stuff.... been there glassed over that
