GM did that for VP and Merc. the 6.2 merc runs 1.6:1 rockers as well. which gets in to seal to keeper interference...... but hey, they warranty it.you´re right, not all problems go away by running away. But at least some. ;-)
I´ve started a new topic, since it would be too far off this title. And of course it includes also a rocker arm ratios/lift question. Since VP decided it would be too much stress crank out more power of their 5.7 engine with a proper camshaft, they added roller rocker arms that mimic higher lift.
What does that mean? yo no comprendo.which gets in to seal to keeper interference......
because the LS motors were used exclusively automotive after 2003 and now the LT motors are coming in
the SBC hasnt been used automotive wise since. however the industrial motors (generators, trash pumps, fork lifts and boat motors) were used after.
on the LS and the LT the reluctor ring is a 60 minus 2
on the SBC, your motor is effectively a 1996 design
yep, same one I posted prior. BTW, if you order from From flow GM, it will take a while. your better off on oemcats.com, finding which GM distributors have the parts in stock and call them directly. gmpartsdirect (Flow GM) is slow as hell in filling ordersThen the Reluctor ring for the injected Vortec Engines seems to be this one: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-ring-10190917
ACDelco used the GM part number 10190917.
skip GM parts for valve train. they used 1.6:1 rockers.good advice, thanks!
Is there any chance we figure out, what is the GM part number for the roller rockers that VP used on the GXi?
At $21 a piece x 16 pcs from GM vs $195. Its price.what´s wrong with GM parts for valve train? Why not getting their 1:6 roller tip rockers?

Don't tell him that it will go to his head...This is probably so much off topic, that never ever anyone will find this, but I found the shapes of the reluctor rings n the VP manual and this proves Scott was right.
yeah...... us Scotts are like thatDon't tell him that it will go to his head...
