West Point Lake

Is there anyone on here that boats on West Point Lake?

OK OK before I start getting any comments on the water quality, we try to stay up in Yellow Jacket Creek when we go!

I like Atlanta, however they are killing the river...:faint:

Too far south for me. I am 15 miles from Lanier, 25 miles from Allatoona. I've been to West Point once or twice, but I agree that south of Atlanta the water is not to my liking.

Sadly I am just the same for West Point and Weedowee! From the house to the ramp at WPL is about 30 min. Lanier would take 2.5 hours give or take. I have never been on Lanier in a boat and from the stories I have heard it can get BUSY!

Have you ever taken any river trips?
