Were Star Trek V's just not that popular

I have recently acquired one of these pseudo center console boats and while I actually purchased it for the motor, and just wanted to de-rig it at a time convenient, it has started to grow on me and I think I want put it back to work. I want to convert it to a fishing boat and do away with the center console set up. Will I be ruining this boat? It is in very good shape and looks to have led a life of quiet solitude in a garage somewhere. I know it is not a collectors item or other such silliness. What puzzles me is you can search any other Starcraft model and get information in droves, with all kinds of fan clubs chiming in, but not a Star Trek V. I guess I am just puzzled.

As I recall they were Starcrafts little more than Jonboat model. Some were center console, some were tiller steer

I thought this thread was a typo when I looked it up but I see it was an actual model. It appears to be like the Mariners little sibling. Same concept but for smaller waters perhaps. What colour is it? Would like to see some pics.

One popped up for sale near me a couple years ago. Boat was in new perfect condition, but the motor was shot, and the trailer was rusted away.

Really wanted to buy it, but it didn't really mesh with my fishing style, and the cost of a new motor and trailer was too much.

I think I'm done buying boats, unless I get a windfall, then maybe a new Starcraft Freedom 180.

It is just like the one in the pic you posted. It is however missing the bow rail. I would honestly like to leave it as is but, in it's current form it is not much of a fishing boat. The look of it is just so cool it's killing me.

I apologize for the pics being late, I got a little caught up in another project. Please ignore my cluttered driveway, I have a few to many toys according to my wife.

I do wonder would I be committing a sin throwing this console away? I have decided to not use it.

That console is in great shape and a unicorn I'm sure someone would love to get their hands on. I would hate to see it end up in the trash. We only do that with glassers around these parts :)

The perfect combo, a 3 cyl JohnnyRude 70 on a nice light little tinny.

Yeah don't trash the CC, someone would be interested in it for sure.

Lol, I was told from the person I bought it from that it was actually a terrifying ride. The 70 is actually on another boat now. I was going to convert this to a fishing boat, I think I am going to mothball it for now. I am not sure i really want to change it from what it is, but I also don't have any use for it in that state. So, for now, I will put her away safe and sound until the time is right.
