After being a happy bachelor for 31 years I finally am engaged to be married. Looks like the fishing outings are going to get pretty slim for me. And I had just gotten my new lead core rigs set up. But I am as happy now as I have ever been. Cause she always says if I don't have a partner to go that she will go.

I waited till I met a woman that fished. She is not nearly as crazy about it as I am but she does and then I got married that way she sort of understands the costs and why I have to have it. A bug plus is she does not wear makeup except for a special occasion and will wear jeans with grease on them out in public. I almost got the perfect woman the only thing that could have been better is if she was rich.

yeah, that's what they all say,, ' i'll be your fishin' partner' .. yeah, right.. that only last about the first season.. <br /><br />an THEN when she is your snooky wooky fishin' partner,, how much fishin' do you think you'll do..?? runnin' back & forth the dock bathroom,, every 1/2 hour on the 1/2hour..<br /><br /> then next season ,, she'll remember how much she really hates fishin' an how much she enjoys watchin you work around the house .. patchin' this,, paintin' that..<br />mowin', rakin', fixin' ..SHE LOVES IT..!!<br /><br />the following season ,, babies are fillin' the house... rug-rats everywhere...<br />can't seem to find the time...BUT I WILL NEXT SEASON ,YOU AN BET ON IT,, you say...<br /><br /> then the next season... way to go buddy remember the rule I said to my wife I said honey I dont drink I dont chase skirts I come home ever day for dinner with you and the kids (in fact I have never stopped for a beer after work)I dont gamble the only thing I do is fish so let me DO IT and I said you know if ya start on the fishin well maybe the others will come in to play I m glad to say goin on 10 years and she is the best I fish 130 days a year and the others Im fixin riggin preppin spendin and never once has she said hey the key is dont forget about her take her for a boat ride a nice dinner and a movie clean your cloths and mess and remember the 4 rules<br /><br />1 yes dear Ill do it right know<br />2 How could I have been such an idiot<br />3 of course your right<br />4 no you dont look fat in that dress <br />and you will have lots of kids and a happy life am I right guys

What you do in case of #4 is, you keep several strategically located containers of accelerant around the house, preferably fused so as to be ignited instantaneously. If the wife asks you a #4, you quickly set off the nearest of these containers and run like hell, rescuing the wife if feasible. You will lose the house, but gain so much more.

What is she going to think when she learns that some of your iboats friends support concealed carry!! It took me a long time to adjust to not being able to do everything my way all the time, but I find it to be a great institution because I was lucky in my spousal selection. Have a bunch of kids. That's what its all about, and you dont even realize that till you have the first one.

You are lucky if your bride REALLY likes to fish, but one who dosn't is not all bad. Then you don't have to have your boat equipped with a sit-down head, carry TP and all that stuff. They don't seem to care for Vienna Sausages or sardines while fishing, either. A little time apart is not all bad after you've been married a while. All this said, I'm better off married than single.

Troll, my wife enjoys fishing and even enjoys it more when she beats me. She enjoys panfishing and catfishing. We don’t fish together all the time though. Sometimes she tells me “ you need to go fishing, your driving me crazy”. She even recommended me to get the new outboard.
