I picked this up last weekend for less than $100 in trade, as I stated in my "What did I do" thread, and have working on the motor all week to get it put back together, well was successful with than in the wee hours, so now we might be able to go fishing this weekend, but here she is in all of her glory for the time being..
1960 Sea King Venture II, with 1961 40 horse Evinrude Big Twin...
Actually a very sturdy boat, no rot in the transom and the floor is good to go, I will have to do some fiberglass work on the floor as the fiberglass has separated, fortunately, not long enough to cause any soft spots.
After this fishing season is over, I will back her in the garage and remove the bad fiberglass on the floor and redo, then planing on a couple of back to back seat set ups, fish finder, perhaps a radio...so it should be fun, I am also going to smooth out the bad spots on the hull and top, re-coat and finish in a blue white combination, probably a bikini blue, which is what I did my last boat in, and in what I can see around the pea soup green, that is what the boat was originally painted.
